Underwater Photo-Tech in Derry, NH has been a cornerstone for underwater photographers in New England for almost 30 years. They have now merged with Backscatter, a Monterey, CA-based underwater and marine photography store. Underwater Photo-Tech's new name will be Backscatter East and will remain in its current location with no staff changes.

What does the change mean for photographers? The store's newsletter promises a greater selection of equipment, better prices and increased phone support hours. Of course, only time will tell.
