Zeagle Flathead VI

The Flathead VI is billed as Zeagle's top-of-the-line reg. And that's no hyperbole. This is a wonderful regulator. It breathes dry and easy whether you're right-side up, up-side down, or anything in between, and is so streamlined, you barely realize it's there. It also has plenty of well-placed high- and low-pressure ports on the first stage.

Now, to be honest, I haven't used the Flathead in the widest range of conditions. The coldest water I took it in was 42 degrees, so I have no first-hand knowledge yet of how well it will hold up when water temps drop to the mid- to low-30s. That being said, I love this reg. Love it. I put it on and forget about it -- and that's the highest praise I can give. I'd recommend it for anyone doing recreational dives in New England.

The Flathead VI retails for approximately $450 and you can get more information on it at www.zeagle.com.
