All right, lets get this out of the way up front. Avalon: Beyond The Abyss is among the worst movies ever made. It's painful to watch. And it hurts us to say that because we're big fans of freedive phenom Mehgan Heaney-Grier, one of the movie's stars. But what are you going to do.

Avalon: Beyond The Abyss was made for TV and it shows at every step -- from chintzy production values to a bad script to a melodramatic score. From what we could pay attention long enough to get, a tide of lethal bacteria has been unleashed on the world and a team of rogue scientists is our only hope. Oi.

There's a fair amount of diving but it doesn't come close to saving this one. Nothing about Avalon: Beyond The Abyss is worth watching. Nothing.
